Women’s Technology Cluster will be hosting the First Annual WTC Angel Investor Colloquium on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 in San Francisco, CA. The program is designed to help individuals, particularly women, to gain the financial literacy required to become an angel equity investor.
Allicense 2006 will be held on May 2-3, 2006 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, CA. The 10th anniversary forum will attempt to re-examine the many aspects of the highly beneficial interdependence between research centers, biotechnology start-ups, integrated biopharmaceutical firms and established pharmaceutical companies. Confirmed speakers include Richard T. Clark, CEO of Merck & Co; Scott Foraker, VP of Licensing for Amgen; Joseph McCracken, Vice President, Business & Commercial Development, Genentech; and Dr.Thomas A. Picone, Vice President, Strategic Alliances, Schering Plough.
The Innovation Accelator @ UCSF will host the Global Life Science Innovation Competition on April 21, 2006. Up to 25 teams will compete for cash awards, and dine with judges and sponsors, including venture capitalists actively engaged in financing early stage life science companies.
