The event BIO Intellectual Property Counsel’s Committee Spring Meeting will be held on March 8-10, 2006 at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA. The event will provide a discussion on topics such as the PTO’s proposed rule changes, patent reform suggestions, and technology transfer concerns. Registration is limited to BIO members.

The event California’s Stem Cell Initiative: Confronting the Legal & Policy Challenges will be held at UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law on March 2-4, 2005. The three-day conference will focus on such issues as “Getting Intellectual Property Rights Right: What Model Should Be Adopted,” “How Can the State Recoup its Investment (or should it?)” and “The Political Process and Stem Cell Research: How Did We Get Here and What Can We Learn?” The event will provide up to 14.5 hours of MCLE credit.

The Dedication Ceremony for the SDSU BioScience Center will be held on March 1st, 2006 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the SDSU BioScience Center, San Diego State University, 5500 Campanile Drive, San Diego, CA 92182. Stephen L. Weber, President, San Diego State University and Patrick J. Papin, Interim Dean, College of Sciences will host the dedication ceremony.
LES will be holding the Technology Transfer Seminar in San Diego, CA in March.
