Written by Kristie Prinz on Saturday, February 18th, 2006 Print This Post Print This Post

The second event in the Women’s Technology Cluster Life Sciences Breakfast Series, Conducting Clinical Trials Abroad, will be held on June 8, 2006 at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, 50 Fremont Street, San Francisco, CA. Increasingly, life science companies are conducting their clinical trials outside of the US. This trend has its attractive upsides for companies in terms of cost, speed and potential funding opportunities, but it also brings unique issues to the clinical trial process and US government approach. Hear the advice, successes and failures from four experts with experience conducting trials abroad. Speakers will include: Elizabeth Song, PhD, Vice President, Business Development, EGeen International Corporation; Scott Harris, MS, RAC, Regulatory Affairs / Drug Development Consultant; Maria Mei-Lai Chiam, BPharm, MBA, Nucleus Network; and Claire Kinlaw, PhD, President, Developmental Products, Inc.
